How to remove Malware and Spyware from your computer

Before we can begin it is important to understand what Malware is and how it can affect your computer performance.

Malware is an abbreviated term for malicious software designed to cause damage to a computer or a networked pc. Malware is a program which is designed to damage your computer.

Spyware is a type of program that is installed with or without your permission on your personal computers to collect information about users, their computer or browsing habits tracks each and everything that you do without your knowledge and send it to remote user. It also can download other malicious programs from internet and install it on the computer. Spyware works like adware but is usually a separate program that is installed unknowingly when you install another freeware type program or application.

To remove malware and spyware from your computer the following steps needs to be taken I order to successfully remove these malicious software.

1-  First remove any popup software you might have popping up asking to purchase it to fix the problem, by going to add and remove program under the start button.

2- Download Malwarebytes free version for home user from their website


3- Once downloaded launch Malwarebytes and click update now

4- Once update finish reboot your computer and start in Safe Mode with Networking. Fyi not sure how to get into safe mode, press F8 on your keyboard while rebooting before you get to the windows logo.

5- When you get back to the windows screen find the Malwarebytes icon and launch the software and click scan now.

6- After Malwarebytes finish the scan you will see a list of infected files found click “Fix them.

7- Close the software click Start  startin the search for program and files bar type %tmp% and select all file hit delete.

8- Close that window and launch “Microsoft Security Essential” look for it under your programs if you don’t have download it from the Microsoft website

8- Run a full scan, fix infected files and folders found and reboot your computer.

You should now have removed all of them.
